5MW | Built for the Mine, Proven in Oceania

Time:Mar 02,2026Company News

Project Background

In a fully electrified gold mining project in Oceania, LEES Power provided a comprehensive power security solution spanning multiple project phases. The overall plan is divided into three stages, with a total of 18 generator sets to be deployed. Currently, the first 12 sets have been put into operation as the base-load power source, providing transitional electricity supply during the three-year construction period of the mine's self-built 60 MW heavy fuel oil power station. Once the power station is completed, these generator sets will smoothly transition to serve as peak-shaving power sources, continuing to support the stability and resilience of the mining area's power system. The recently delivered three generator sets belong to the third phase of deployment, further reinforcing the reliability of round-the-clock and full-lifecycle power supply for the mining area.

Product Highlights

  • High-Temperature Adaptability

The unit is capable of operating in ambient temperatures up to 50°C, making it suitable for tropical mining sites.

  • Dust-Proof Design

The air intake and exhaust louvers are equipped with filtration layers that block dust particles below 60 microns, specifically optimized for high‑dust mining environments.

  • Extended Oil Service Life

A centrifugal oil filter is installed to remove impurities and residues from the oil, and an oil compensation tank—integrated with a level sensor—enables automatic oil replenishment. Without requiring maintenance, the unit can operate continuously for up to 500 hours.

  • Modularity and Easy Installation

The fully integrated, modular design allows for quick hoisting and positioning. The unit is ready for operation upon connection to the power supply and features remote monitoring capability, reducing labor costs.
