Tailored 10MW Peaking Power Station (grid peaking / load-following) for Tropical Rainforest Regions in the Americas

Time:Sep 02,2026Company News

Project Overview

This customized 10MW peaking power station (grid peaking / load-following) for American tropical rainforest areas adopts Cummins(made in India) gensets as core power units. Characterized by high temperature, high humidity and high precipitation and frequent storms, the region imposes strict requirements on cooling, waterproofing, anti-corrosion and dust resistance of equipment. With systematic environmental adaptation design, the gensets can operate stably, efficiently and safely under harsh conditions to meet local grid peak regulation and emergency power demands.

Product Highlights

Efficient Cooling Design

The original double-door structure is revised to a single-door design, air exhaust / hot air discharge and optimizing internal air distribution.

Intelligent Fuel Tank Management System

The 1000-liter side-mounted fuel tank is equipped with an automatic oil replenishment system and remote fuel level monitoring, enabling prolonged continuous operation with enhanced safety.

All-climate Protection System

The unit is fitted with stainless steel dust screens, waterproof flanges, rain shields and comprehensive anti-corrosion treatment to withstand extreme weather conditions.

User-friendly Maintenance Design

Slide-out side-mounted fuel tank for easy access, removable top covers and maintenance access hatches drastically reduce maintenance difficulty and time costs.

Integrated Safety Monitoring

Local audible & visual alarms together with remote fault connection, supported by smoke and temperature detection, deliver multi-layer safety protection.

This project is not merely an equipment supply, but a concentrated embodiment of LEES’s capability in comprehensive power solutions. Targeting the extreme high-temperature, high-humidity and highly corrosive tropical rainforest working conditions, we adopt systematic design to integrate environmental adaptation, intelligent O&M and safety protection, building a full-dimensional power guarantee system.

Aiming at operational pain points in harsh scenarios, we optimize heat dissipation structure, anti-corrosion system, intelligent monitoring and maintenance procedures based on solid on-site engineering experience. Serving as a typical practice of LEES’s scenario-customized and full-lifecycle service philosophy, this project consolidates our leading edge in special-environment power systems. It provides scalable and replicable best-practice standards for global similar projects, empowering customers with safe, efficient and sustainable energy operation.
