With the introduction of our Stage V Generators, now more than ever, we are focused on sustainability, cleaner energy and reducing our environmental impact and carbon footprint. The need for cleaner engines and emission reduction has encouraged increasingly rigorous exhaust emission legislation to restrict harmful substances in the exhaust gases emitted from engines powered by fossil fuels. These substances include Nitrogen Oxide (NOx), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrocarbons (HC) and Particulate Matter (PM).
In addition, we also offer Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel as a cleaner burning alternative to traditional diesel fuel. HVO is a renewable, bio-based fuel made from vegetable oils and animal fats that produce significantly lower emissions of particulate matter and nitrogen oxides than traditional diesel generators.
Stage V engines are the latest and most advanced emission standard for non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) engines. Compared to previous-stage engines, they are designed to significantly reduce emissions of pollutants, such as limiting carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM).
Some of the key differences between these engines and previous stages include:
• Stricter emission regulation for particulate and NOx emissions.
• The use of advanced exhaust after-treatment systems, such as selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and diesel particulate filters (DPF).
• Improved engine efficiency, fuel efficiency and control systems.
• And mandatory on-board diagnostics (OBD) to monitor and ensure stage v compliance with the emission limits.
